The “Dreamers of Today” Summit in Chicago brought together 86 Dreamers to share experiences and create platforms to advocate for themselves and their families. “My Undocumented Ass” social media influencer Che published a recap on TikTok, in which participants shared what it is like to be undocumented in America and what they got out of the summit. One young woman shared that obtaining a work permit would profoundly impact her life and her family’s. She envisioned starting her own legal firm, a dream that felt distant without the legal documentation to pursue it.
