At the “Dreamers of Today” Summit in Chicago, attended by 86 college-age Dreamers without DACA and legal work permits from various states including MI, PA, GA, NV, NC, FL, TX, IN, IA, MA, WA, CA, IL, NJ, and NY, the students engaged in poignant discussions about their undocumented upbringing. The summit provided a crucial platform for these young individuals to share their stories, fostering solidarity and understanding among attendees from different backgrounds. It underscored the urgent need for comprehensive immigration reform to address the challenges faced by undocumented youth across the United States.
